Deus

Terms of Service

Last updated 4 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Deus (the “service”). It is a personal project run by Samman Thapa (“I”, “me”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • Give a real email address and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person.

Your content

What you write and upload is yours. You give me permission to store it, process it and show it back to you, only as needed to run the service. Your entries are private to your account; nothing is public unless a feature clearly says it is.

Using the service fairly

Please do not:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, or to harm anyone;
  • try to reach another person’s data, or to get around the limits that keep accounts apart;
  • probe, overload or interfere with the service, or its providers;
  • use automation against it, other than the agent access you create yourself in Settings and use within the permissions you gave it.

Not advice

Deus is a tool for personal reflection and record-keeping. It is not medical, mental-health, financial, legal or any other professional advice, and what the AI weekly review says is a prompt for thought, not a recommendation to act on. The finance features record numbers you enter; they do not check them.

Availability, changes and backups

This is a personal project provided without a guarantee of uptime. It may change, pause or stop. If I ever plan to shut it down I will try to give notice and a way to take your data with you. I do not promise to keep backups, so please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Ending things

You can stop using the service at any time and ask me to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). I may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

Other services

Signing in with Google, Google Analytics, the AI weekly review and the infrastructure that runs the service come from other companies and are subject to their own terms.

No warranty, and limits on my liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service; and my total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid me to use it, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have by law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. I will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, say so inside the app. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
